Clear answers for MentalDeload Home — everyday use in the app, plus account, sync, and support.
Everyday use
The main navigation leads through Today, Week, Month, Lists, and Household. Meals are integrated into day, week, and month planning. Shopping, checklists, and notes live under Lists; family, people, and household plans live under Household.
Navigation is being revised: profiles and grouped, searchable options are being brought into Settings. Context actions stay with the relevant view. Exact controls depend on the installed test build.
- Tap opens an entry.
- Long-press starts multi-select (tasks) or an action menu (shopping, calendar).
- Swipe right completes tasks or checks off shopping items.
- Plus (+) in the calendar opens the chooser for task, appointment, routine, meal, and more.
- Weather icon in the calendar (day/week) opens weather details; approximate location is optional in Settings.
- Meals: plan meals freely in the calendar and add dishes with Plan meal. The Meals menu opens your dishes, serving sizes, and planning rules.
- Empty day: Add or Set weekly rhythm for recurring commitments.
Users and permissions
Administrator and user roles are in progress. Three permission areas control completing, creating, and editing or deleting entries. Kids Mode and child plans are being removed. See the development status for the intended scope.
How do I create or delete an account?
An account is optional — Free works fully locally. Home Start, Family, or Max is required for online backup and device sync. Sign-in uses Google Sign-In. A person joining an already subscribed household by invitation does not need a separate subscription.
Delete in the app: Profile menu → Home & people → Account & data → Delete account and data.
Without the app: use the account deletion page or email mentaldeload@gmail.com from the address linked to your account. Cloud data associated with the account is removed after a verified request (immediately via in-app deletion where possible; within 30 days for email/web requests).
How do I sync my data?
Home Start, Family, and Max unlock online backup, sync across your own devices, shared households, and invitations. Sign in with the same account on your devices or join using an invitation code. While online, the app pulls and pushes changes automatically. Offline edits stay on the device and sync later.
Only one subscription held by the household owner is needed per household. Invited members use the same plan and share its allowances.
How do Free, Start, Family, and Max differ?
Free includes local tasks, calendars, meals, shopping, lists, notes, people, and widgets without an account. Home Start, Family, and Max have the same online features: backup, sync, shared households, assistants, imports, cloud attachments, place search, and enabled AI. Their shared household allowances differ:
- Start: 4 devices, 500 MiB of cloud attachments, 180 included credits per month.
- Family: 12 devices, 3 GiB of cloud attachments, 400 included credits per month.
- Max: 30 devices, 10 GiB of cloud attachments, 500 included credits per month.
The owner buys a monthly or yearly subscription through Google Play, which shows the current price. Included credits refresh monthly even on yearly subscriptions and do not accumulate. The household shares credits for provider requests such as photo analysis, voice assistant, and Google Maps. Extra packs of 300, 750, or 1,600 credits do not reset monthly and require an active online plan for use.
See the plan comparison, terms, and privacy policy.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Open your subscriptions in Google Play, select MentalDeload Home, and follow the cancellation steps. Uninstalling the app or deleting an account does not automatically cancel the Play subscription. Cancelling the subscription does not delete the account or its data.
How do I turn off notifications?
Reminders are opt-in local notifications. Revoke permission in Android Settings → Apps → MentalDeload Home → Notifications. Inside the app, you can also adjust reminder and evening-overview options under Settings where available.
Why does the app ask for location?
Only for optional calendar weather (icons in day and week views; tap for details). The app uses approximate location, not precise GPS. You can deny the permission; the app still works. In Settings you can enable Weather via location — otherwise the region from “Your home” profile is used. Location is not used for ads. See the Privacy Policy.
